What kind of society would you want? What would be needed to get there? And how would you go about trying to convince others that your opinion is important?
In September 2022, there was an election in Sweden. Based on that, Art in Halland offered an art-based pedagogical program called ‘Ethics, Polemics, Politics’ aimed at high school students.
Under the guidance of the Combi Cats artist duo ‘Diana and Kordian Rönnberg’, posters were discussed as art in terms of democracy, freedom of speech, and propaganda. Political election posters were also studied and problematised. After that, the students created ‘election posters’ that were exhibited at the locations listed below.
